Vintage 1996 75cl
Red-gold coloured wine. With delicate quince, raisins and plum aromas. Some atractive spices and resin nuances. In the mouth, it already shows its age inside the bottle, with detaisl of liquorice, dried plum and leather. Soft tannins with great elegance and delicacy.
Service and Harmonization
Best enjoyed with Serra, Stilton, Gorgonzola and other fat cheeses. Ideal to accompany sweet and tasteful desserts alonside fruit jam. Decant and serve at 17ºC-18ºC.

|Vineyard||Vineyard plots located on the steep slopes of River Pinhão banks, between 150m and 400m altitude, with a poor and rugged shale soil of low production and high concentration and grape quality.|
|Grape Harvest||Grape harvest of 1996
Very dry year. Cold winter. Good blooming. Summer very hot. One of the earliest harvests. Low but high quality production. Elegant and delicate wines with great concentration or aroma.
|Winemaking||Fresh and matured to perfection grapes, harvested by hand to 20kg boxes. Destemmed and softly crush, the grapes were placed in stainless steel vats, where maceration took place during 5 days, with three daily "delestage" , and fementing for three days. From this process resulted a fine wine, aged in french oak barrels. The Blend was made in march 1999.|
